Free Torrent Source was finally released today, with 1 day later than the date set. It’s not bad. We had some problems with Sourceforge today which didn’t allow us to upload the new release. But now the guys over there seem to have fixed it. The new major version is a new generation of FTS, with over 200 bug fixes. You can see all changes here. You can also see all closed trac tickets here. We already have 6 bug reports, and we will fix those in the next minor version which is going to be released in 3 weeks(07/20/09).
What’s really important in this release(if you are lazy and you don’t want to search the changelog):
- Seeding torrents now works. We had some porblems, but now it should be fixed [123]
- New Staff Panel – more intelligent and optimized [115]
- New mass mail tool [105]
- DST Hack – allow users to choose if Daylight Saving Time is on or off [126]
- Re-organized head code – more compact and less messy [132]
- New administrator panel option: Image resizer mode. Allow you to control the image resizer mode, with 4 options: None, Samewindow, NewWindow?, Enlarge. See included documentation [135]

In June, 12th version 1.0.4 was released. Many bugs were resolved but some users report that the seeding problem is not resolved. We ,kind of, know that and it’s our fault. We have detected the problem and resolved it. We are working on the new version, 1.1. Many problems are fixed in this version including the seeding problem. The new version it’s going to be released on July 1st. SO bear with us. Wait until then.

I am glad to announce that version 1.0.3 Stable is now ready for download here. It’s a few days later than the deadline, but i guess nowone is mad.
Why there isn’t an official changelog? Beacuse since last year, there were to many changes to record them. Maybe this is the most serious and the most working version till now. I mean not maybe, it sure is.
We also opened a new Milestone, 1.0.4. All bugs you find in this version, 1.0.3, all enhancements you want for the next version, 1.0.4, you can add them to the Trac. This is the milestone page.
